GENERAL ROLE OF AN AGENCY

While your agency is the entity you sign an agreement with, the agent that works with you is the person who you authorize to act on behalf. They may submits you for work, make deals, sign contracts, and might even perform other tasks. Depending on your location may depend on whether your agent or agency is required to have a license and financial security (as well as be affiliated with your union).

Agent vs. Manager

A talent agent is commonly defined as someone who legally securing auditions and negotiating contracts, while a talent manager is usually described as someone who focuses on long-term career strategy, daily guidance, and professional development. While agents are regulated by law, managers are no--they likely hold a higher commission rate as managers cover a wider scope of duties.

THE PURPOSE OF AN AGENCY

An agency represents and secure opportunities for talent (actors, musicians, models, influencers, athletes, etc.) while building relationships with casting directors, producers, brands, and industry decision-makers.

THE REPRESENTATION

The Process

To be considered for joining our roster, a talent must:

email us requesting a talent submission form
Once the form is completed, we assess your readiness
If we offer you representation, you sign an agreement
Once that is completed and returned, it's onboarding time
After onboarding is complete, we begin submissions
Casting may or may not request an audition
When completed, casting may or may not request a callback or avial or an offer
If everything is approved (incl. possible negotiations), casting may or may not book you (as per the director's request) and send necessadry documents
